Some things to look out for when purchasing Strings:

  1. Are the strings new?
  2. Are the strings sealed?
  3. Where are the strings made? (9 out of 10 players will say the world’s best strings are made in the USA)
  4. Are the strings the right price? (Compare prices first)

( The above charts are simply a guide to the most common sets of strings for each genre of player. )

All Guitar Strings vary in Tone and Feel by the actual String Gauge/size      eg. A set of Electric 9-42 will feel lighter and sound thinner then a set of 11-50, simply because the strings are smaller in thickness, The 9-42 strings will also be easier on your fingers then the 11-50 because again, they are a smaller thickness string.
